Hi I am an incurable petrolhead who has spent years track daying a Dolomite Sprint until I sold it to a Yank and it lives in USA now.
In 2010 I bought my wife a very nice 1990 MX5 (Eunos) in red which she loves and still owns and I was so impressed with its quality that I bought one for myself and was disappointed with the lack of performance so started looking for a turbo. What I found on Ebay and won for £1350 was a round tubed chassis with an HSK turbo MX5 installed as a rolling chassis, aha I thought I would take the motor and sell the rest however once home with all this brand new stuff I could not part with it, so I built it up into a Lotus 7 type car and ran it through the dreaded IVA test! (never again) and registered it back in 2014. It weighs 580 kilo with about 180 bhp and goes like stink. I promptly did a track day and the pipe came off the actuator which then overboosted the flipping thing and nearly had me off the track with the slug of power which broke 2 pistons! I now want Skuzzle to sort me out a reprogrammed ECU and do the job properly so I can trust the car on a track day.
I am an old fart and would like to show you a picture but don't know how.

Sounds fun I once had a Dolly Sprint, when I was quite young, nearly killed and bankrupted me, loved it though, classic yellow with a black roof. My then girlfriend call ed it Christine after the evil car!!

Welcome! I think my dad had a Dolomite in brown for a while - IIRC they had Smiths instruments that took ages to warm up? lol Will look forward to a pic if you can upload one, the current car sounds ace

Ah Rickster Yes all the early Sprints were in yellow and yes they are a money pit as the car was too quick for its 1300 cc ancestors so the brakes and stuff were not up to it. Yes the Australian film where Christine was the car that killed! LOL. Wannabe, I will find a way to get pictures on as my old photobucket stuff want money for it now grrr.
You need a lot of chrome to make the brown cars look good.

Yes most definitely once I have had a Skuzzle sort out. I am in the process of rebuilding it's original engine that broke pistons. In the car at the moment is an Ebay engine that seems okay but a little low on oil pressure. Ideal to get it sorted and then in with the rebuilt one.
