So, my next event in Classic Marques is the Brighton & Hove MC sprint this coming weekend 11th May.
Goodwood & I have some unfinished business after I crunched the mighty5 at Madgewick last autumn & need to banish some demons. It’s a proper fast track & get deep into 5th gear so I need to get my sh1t together. Pretty sure it’s free to get in, so come say hi if you’re wandering around the paddock- I’m 122.

That went pretty well. The rain stayed away & was able to push pretty hard with only a few mistakes... P1 was yet another voyage of discovery as I really struggle to get this place in my head but never mind, I was 2nd by 2 seconds behind my arch rival in his TVR & ahead of the 14 others in class. There were some really interesting competition cars in the paddock- Mclaren 720S, 1960s Ford Falcon (or Galaxy maybe) & the most amazing Mk2 Cortina with a 660hp V8 in it. The timed runs started & it was time to try a bit harder- Madgewick I found a bit slippery on the entry but once through the first part I was able to keep the throttle pinned thru the 2nd apex. The rest of the lap went pretty well with not too much sliding until I came to woodcote where I was carrying too much speed to tighten the turn & made full use of the rumble strips.... T2 after lunch was better as it was a clean lap & T3 was a little lairy thru the chicane making use of the rumble strip....

Nice job! Looks like the weather was good, and Goodwood as a venue always seems to attract interesting cars Kudos to the person buying a 720S and actually using it properly!
