Test fit of the body after the mods...
The wheels are now very dark anthracite to match my powder coated rims. Looks far more realistic now, even though loads is missing or undone. Quite please with it so far, for my first model attempt.

Not sure yet. We'll see. I started rubbing down the body to remove lumps, dents, manufacturing filing marks, moulding lines... Made a good start. Lots left to do though!

Yep. Maybe a very long belt too First basic rub down done. That will do until I've finished chopping it about. No point doing it perfectly until I've finished, to avoid damage. Next up... various small parts to finish or make from scratch. The engine will be left until very last.

Made most of the headlights. Bit of a 3D jigsaw mission to get a tight fit of the parts. I still have to make the inner sides...
Exhaust fabrication started. Will I finish this before my real car's exhaust is done?

Model barry canon FTW! You want to try and get some small diameter thin wall stainless tube. Then you can heat blue the end for the full fart can look!

It does look a tad large on this model. It was hard to guess the exact size. I went for 5mm tubing. The real one will only be 2.5", so more pipe than canon Also the Racing Beat system I removed added an absurd amount of weight out the back. There's no way I want anything like that much dead mass again. Plain stainless minus the blue flame! I also like that look and sound on bigger engines like the Supra and TVR. Not so much on a tiny four pot lol Axle mods to make room for the engine block

Haven't got much done due to other things going on. Although the quarter door glass had the frames painted on... The main large windows are currently being softly attached with clear silicone. Just in case I need to remove them later to get the body painted. So it's nearing the end. Just need some more roll cage metal bar to arive. Then I can finish the car (engine aside, which will be ongoing).
