My pop ups work against eachother!
When one is up, the other is down??? If I turn on the lights then the up one goes down and down one goes up!!!
What's causing this? Motor is ok, I can't wind it manually when powered on.
At the moment I have had to unplug the motor and have it manually wound up and have the pop ups always up?
Any suggestions?

Have you reversed one of the wires? lol
(I'm not sure that would mean it reverses the action, but...?!)

It's just weird, everything was working ok then I was mashing the pop up button when they reversed, yes I have tried to hammer it again to reverse it back but I'm just confused as to why it happened?!

I don't think that can be a problem in the switches or relay because they send the same signals to both motors. I think it's going to be a mechanical problem in one retractor motor, in its internal switch which flips to indicate it's reached the up or down position. Never taken one apart so I don't know what it looks like, sorry.

Here's someone who had the same issue in a '94 Miata: forum.miata.net/vb/showpost.php?p=4626970&postcount=3 "Unplugged the driver side headlight motor, which was in the up position, even though stalk was set to off. Removed the 14mm nut that connects the linkage to the motor. Pull the linkage off the motor, swing the headlight to it's proper down position. Replace onto motor stud, tighten the 14mm nut back up."Sounds as if it was literally a basic mechanical problem where the linkage had slipped 180°. I never examined how that linkage works so I can't be sure, but he fixed his problem.

The motor spindle has splines on it so it shouldn't slip, but it's worth a try.

I had read something very similar to that but it looked ok, I prob didn't look into it that well!

Unless the arm is noticeably loose I doubt it's the cause of the problem. I'd look at the switch and test the feed to the motors.
