They look like the tops of eye bolts protruding through the soundproofing, I used the same when I fitted the harness on my Westfield.
Various sizes available.

The original poster on Facebook said that the grey loops poking up through the carpet are harness loops and we present on all early Eunos'. He says they're connected to the chassis.

I used to work for Mazda in the 90s, so I've seen lot of MX5s / Eunos Roadsters, but I've never seen any with factory harness loops before.Just wondering if anyone else has them.

Those hoops can't be OEM, surely. I've seen a fair few rear shelfs and that's a first
