When you are driving down a country lane don't you ever think "wouldn't it be great to drive as fast as I like without worrying about pedestrians, tractors, horses, badgers, pheasants and oncoming traffic!" well now you can in a Welsh valley with Slip&Grip im going to give it a go cars are released at 1 min intervals, open pit, and there is timing if you want looks like fun £90 per day or £170 for the weekend www.slipandgripautomotive.co.uk/event/spring-touge-in-the-valleys/25-04-2020/164

Rich. Thats part of the fun for me. Love that part of the world - I shall probably drive up to Aber on the Friday and stay over, Might even stay Saturday and have a leisurely drive down the coast Sunday (Im only doing the Saturday) - Perfect weekend (unless the weather is very very bad!!

Rich. I believe it is available to hire (club events etc) but you would have to enter one of these events, I think it has been tightened up there for H&S reasons, certainly the requirement for at least a half cage is probably because someone died 2 years ago!

But room for error? Er, zero! Thats what makes it exciting, hence my country lane analogy!! Hope I dont need a trailer for a similar venue (although larger & maybe a little faster! ) look at Mynydd Epynt although this is only accessable with MOD permission as its part of SENTA and used for training - is a great rally & hillclimb venue though (if not somewhat dangerous....) an example of Epynt I was navigating in the red Evo6 that started in front of the Darrian, we'd managed to catch & pass it on the previous stage, NOT an easy task! Rich.

I was seriously tempted to go up and have a crack at this.
Then I had a look at the video on their website with in-car footage of the course.
Nope.
Then I saw the crashed MX5 in the video.
Double nope.
Seems like fun, but really dangerous especially for a novice driver! Maybe in the future soon but yeah, 0 room for error, super technical and lots of JUMPS!
