Sounds interesting. Although... Wales is a long way to go to be told what I suspect... that my car is as loud as a Harrier jump jet So I need to measure the db before I can commit to anything. If it's ok I will be interested. Someone MAY even have their head gasket fixed by then. I've got a baffle for the NSX which might fit. This event is exactly the sort of thing I joined this forum to be involved in: Sounds great, and an excellent price. Unfortunately my summer availability is limited to say the least, due to my work schedule being dependant on the highly flexible holiday plans of millionaires... Are places limited? What is the likely cut off point for securing a place? It generally fills up about a month before.

I'll be interested in seeing how loud it is inside as well. Do we know if exhaust measurement is A-weighted or C-weighted (IIRC)?
Most have "Fast / Slow" option buttons on them. Is this what you mean? I've yet to read any instructions.

I can't remember exactly but I *think* A-weighted includes bass frequencies (<100Hz??) whereas C-weighted doesn't - I think on the basis that bass is not as damaging to hearing as treble frequencies, therefore C-weighted can be / is used to check for risk of hearing damage, but A-weighted might be used to test annoyance from a club because bass is what travels through walls (because longer wavelengths) or overall volume in a given space. Because bass at a given volume creates more pressure (because more air moved) I think SPL meters therefore read higher when A-weighted measurement is used. It might on that basis be better if C-weighted is used for vehicle testing? (I'm a bit rusty on this TBH.)

I've stuck it in my calendar - at the moment there's a massively long list of winter jobs to do to the car which I've not even started yet... Too many projects - too little time...

Hi Folks, Is this event still going ahead or has it been cancelled due to the current situation. Or is it a case of wait and see. I am interested if it is a go assuming my car comes out of lockdown at the rolling road where it has been for the last four weeks.

Not been cancelled yet, but as Vindi says the current non- essential travel situation will need to change

I'll update everyone in the week after I've spoken to the circuit.

Hopefully all good news for us.
The rolling road that has my car is starting up again on June 1st, so hopefully time to finish the ECU set up and tune then MOT after that it needs to be registered. If all that happens and the trackday is on count me in. I do have the Other Eunos as a fall back if the ITB Mongrel is not ready.
Its about a three hour drive to get to the circuit for me so an early start would be called for.
Cheers Dickie

Horney, any update on the current situation? I was thinking I'd not get away with coming for the weekend, but since I've not done any motorsport since mid-March, I'm probably due a bit of a treat...

Sadly I'm pretty sure it's gonna be canceled. Should know by the end of this week.
