Hi everyone!
New to the site, though not to MX5s. Got my 6th just before the lockdown - a 1996 VR Combination B, bought sight-unseen from the Scottish borders. Decided at the last minute that a 550 mile train journey to collect it wasn’t a good idea, so coughed up for it to be delivered instead. Ouch! (But as this was literally a couple of days before lockdown, I’m glad I didn’t spend 9 and a half hours on a train…)
Anyway, have only been out in it twice for obvious reasons, but love it already. I’d just sold a 2.0L Mk3 so it’s obviously slow by comparison, but it’s the sweetest driving ‘5 I’ve had. Just wants to rev and go round corners and rev some more - it’s like an enthusiastic puppy!
For now I’m just planning all the tweaks I want to do while waiting to be allowed out for a play. They’ll be mostly cosmetic, as I love how it drives, but I’m an inveterate fiddler, so let’s see!
