Picked up the 2007 MX5 BBR 200 today and on drive from Northampton to Shropshire (on way back to Ireland) all went well. Very happy with it - pics and odds n sods to follow once back home middle of next week.
Cheers,

Anyone not started their working day just yet, would you mind popping down your demon tweeks NC shopping list - going to pop by in an hour or so for some consumables, hood cleaner, green stuff pads, possibly a little lower rear springs and small spacers?? Ultimately I’d like to Miester CRD the lot but for this year I’ll keep the spend low and play about with.
All suggestions greatly welcomed as I’m still finding my feet.
Thanks,
LiamO

BBR 200 very nice! Get some pictures up of it when you can. I saw a silver one with yellow fogs up for sale recently, is it that one? Do you know what mods it has already? Cheap place to start is yellow dot ARB's from an RX-8, I tried lowering springs on mine and it made the rear quite bouncy over certain roads. Coming from experience I wouldn't bother with lowering springs, just save up for the Meisters now

I’ll get pics up soon, on holiday for the next few weeks so more driving to be done ✅ Having to get used to the power delivery and the need to ring it out to the last - initially it seemed a bit slow but I need to recalibrate my senses away from a narrow dose of torque in TD daily drivers of the last 18 odd years, think I’m getting the hang of it! The previous westie I had was similar but only about 600kg with coil overs so u were grabbing gears much sooner, it feels like I’m being harsh on the engine and with stock suspension it’s a little floaty / jittery over the poor roads we have here.
It’s the BBR 200 upgrade with full exhaust, cams, air filter and remap - no suspension or other upgrades.
Really really happy with it - it was the stormy blue one on eBay several weeks ago.
All thoughts / advice greatly appreciated, checking the oil regularly 😰

Having some issues uploading pics? After they are uploaded via the image uploaded they don’t seem to appear on the message? Have previously uploaded pics successfully??

Maybe Atlex or someone else can try the site specific “image uploader” from the navigation drop down bar? Or else I’m doing something wrong?
Cheers,
