Our little early model G reg MX5 Eunos import .... I say our, it is really my O/Hs. Just pased its MOT.... new exhaust fitted bought in advance as I knew the exhaust needed replacing. It will need new springs sometime as one spring I know is a bit dodgy. Have seen some well priced coilover sets. Seems the way to go as they are complete units... Always ready to listen to advice. The body ... or rather the paintwork.... Very faded in parts... In need of a respray. I have a compressor. The guys at the indpendent workshop I use (been going there for years) suggested I have a go myself... Hmm??? .... The sills seem ok. Have had repairs to these on previous MOTs. There is a little rust on the bottom trailing corner of the passenger door. Not looking for concourse or show condition....nor looking for a huge investment... this is a working car, a frequent if not daily runner. Any comment, advice, even if it's don't do it, welcome. Red ones are the best Have you sprayed before? I wish I knew what to do as mine is much worse than yours lol If you have one of those 'cameras on the end of a wire' (can't remember what they are called) you can feed it down a hole by the seatbelt mounting point by your shoulders and see the inside of the sill IIRC

Camera by wire..... endoscopy camera... don't have one... they are very inexpensive though ... AND THAT... is an excellent idea... will do.
And.... Heh heh heh heh.... have I sprayed before? ... have I sprayed before! ... er... No... in fact a big fat NO. There is an excellent sort of tutorial / demo sort of thing on You Tube by a guy called Martin (I think). If I go ahead and do it. I'll use his videos as a reference and guide.
But the camera is a must have. One of my mechanics has one... We've used it on my Jag peering into various places.

Let me know if you find a decent one - I need to look at my sills but am ignoring it because it's not rusting if I don't know it's rusting lol

Nice to see someone else from sunny Norfolk! Re. suspension, i thought about coilovers but for what I want and how I use my Eunos, i went for Tein 30mm lowering springs, a bargain at £100! Ended up having all new oem shocks as failed the MOT on leaking old ones, but now its a decent set up for me! Plenty of photos in my thread in here.
