Hi Folks, I have entered my first ever sprint which will give the Mongrel and myself a test, ( I expect the Mongrel has Bigger Balls than me ) This will also be my first event of the year !!!
Its at Spitfire Raceway on one of the runways at Perranporth Airfield. I am looking forward to being a Hooligan on the tarmac. Truro and District Motor Club are organising the event which is closed to spectators.

Hi Folks, I have just got home from todays sprint at Perranporth Airfield. A great day out only spoilt by a light shower to slow us down a bit. The car went well, The driver needs to find the brake points and turn in points. I might improve tommorow ! Results here for today. So you can all see the varity of vehicles and times. The other Mazda Eunos is stripped out with bucket seat and harness, I have more power but a stock interior/seat and seatbelt with CG Lock irp-cdn.multiscreensite.com/d1646039/files/uploaded/SwtResultsFor200919.pdfI will attempt to upload some footage later. |

Hi Rich,
The Mongrel went well, The driver needs Bigger Balls, ( It is a road car first though and I need to bring it home undamaged )
The other Eunos lives on a recovery truck and is a competition car first and road car second.
The car is very balanced with its extended lower ball joints, only a bit of understeer when I went too fast into a crossover ( The Cones Got Scared )
I found no power oversteer out of the hairpins either so happy with my DIY which way to point the wheels. got too much wheelspin off the line in the damp.
If you have a look at the Truro and District Motor Club site you should be able to find the course layout.
This was on a very bumpy but grippy undulating runway with quite an elevation change.
I get to try and improve my efforts tommorow.
The only problem with the car was it spat out most of the power steering fluid. !!!

Or not overfilling it !!!! pas fluid loss seems to be a common issue, think the reservoir's design doesn't help as does (or doesn't?) its size? if it was taller then maybe more effective at de-aeriation and less volume filled with foam so less or no overflow maybe Rich. |

The Sunday was a good days fun apart from a badly swollen finger on my left hand !
I am disapointed with the goprohero8 the videos are very jerky and seem to jump back and forwards.
I am wondering if I have got a Duff one !!!

The Sunday was a good days fun apart from a badly swollen finger on my left hand ! I am disapointed with the goprohero8 the videos are very jerky and seem to jump back and forwards. I am wondering if I have got a Duff one !!! What SD card is with it? If it isn't Class 10 you will struggle to get the video to record well and play back |
