Had some fun yesterday at my last speed event of the season, at Debden airfield in Essex. Managed to win the class this time (against a double-driven Eunos about the same age as mine) despite the weather. Some vids here (run 3 was the fastest): Playlist

Yep it was good, quite a long course so probably still a good few seconds to find. I had given it a dose of Rain-X, and the wipers go so slowly they just distract me!

That’s completely different to the last sprint I did there, although that was 7 or 8 years ago now, and back then, it hadn’t changed much since the mid 90’s.

Just got a pic from someone from HCAAC, showing how dirty my car is, and that I forgot my proper numbers Luckily #17 is quite easy to recreate from gaffer tape...

Looked like fun and a decent length course... What camera / software are you using as the overlay info is really good?

Looked like fun and a decent length course... What camera / software are you using as the overlay info is really good? Camera is an SJ4000, Chinese GoPro copy off Amazon. Laptimer is RaceChrono Pro on my Android phone, with a Garmin GLO2 bluetooth GPS (phone GPS only refreshes at 1Hz so isn't accurate enough for laptiming, the GLO is 10Hz). Upload the video to the phone and sync them together and it overlays speed and location info. If you have more info from an OBD2 signal it can show other stuff like throttle position, RPM etc, and also can do PIP, like in this video I did a couple of years ago in my old Subaru:
