Thanks, I'll take a look. My car is due to arrive in the country tomorrow, then it will be a week or two before it gets to me. We are also in the process of buying a house, so I think this season is not going to happen for me. But can get prepared for next year... Thanks for the info You're welcome. I was actually asking similar questions to youself on the introduction page but going the opposite direction...my wife and I are about to move back to the UK after a good few years in the US. Defintely sad to be leaving the vibrant Miata/car culture behind but hopefully I can at least keep up with some form of racing in the UK once we get settled. The motorsportreg site is definetly your best option with trying to find events, every group I run with posts there. Also, don't be afraid to reach out to some of the event organizers to see what cars they allow, from my experience everyone is really helpful and friendly. For example a Mustang/Cobra track event that is local to me will allow any cars to join them, including Miatas. Similarly track events organized by Tailgate McNoIndicate clubs will allow anyone to join in the fun. Edit: Thats hilarious that B M W is edited to Tailgate McNoIndicate

I am very jealous of the tracks you will have to hand in the UK. Pretty much wherever you are you will have multiple places to go. Particularly if you are used to the scale of the us!
If you haven't already been, you absolutely have to go to cadwell. Only managed to go once, but it is the best track I've ever been to.

I suppose it depends a bit on where you live in the US. I'm in North Carolina and have 5 great tracks and more Autocross venues that you could ever need within a 2 1/2 hr radius from my house.
I'm moving to Cardiff and it looks to be 5 1/2 hrs to Cadwell. With that sort of drive there would be dozens of places here, I could be at Road Atlanta in that time.

The only ones I've found here are silly ones with membership fees. I am sure will find something.
Fwiw cadwell is worth the trip... Make a weekend out of it.

I went ot a place called OffCamber autosport (https://offcamberautosport.com/) for an alignment (recommended by a local detailing place) and the owner races and had a lot of very useful info: This site will show you most events in the area. www.motorsportreg.comThe clubs you want to look at especially.. - NJBMW CCA
- DelVel Tailgate McNoIndicate CCA
- GVC Tailgate McNoIndicate CCA
- Schatenbaum PCA
- Audi Club
- SCDA
Tracks in the area - NJMP, NJ
- LimeRock, CT
- Pocono, PA
- Watkins Glen, NY
- Summit Point, WV
- Palmer Motorsports park, MA

Well, i haven;t actually been to one yet. However, it looks like it's going to suck donkey Coxswain. I've found one via a good local motorsport garage who are really helpful. This is one that is friendly to non-club member, but the summary of things I have to do is: Have a helmet that is certified 2015 or newer (mine is 2010) Have a hans device (i don't have one) Have an inspection done on the car no earlier than 30 days before the event (that takes 1.5 hours - so it's not going to be cheap) You have to go into specific groups, and unless you are 'advanced' you are forced to have a 30 min clasroom session and have tuition (i would do this anyway... but still...) Given i have just forked out for new wheels and tyres, I am going to plough ahead I think... Speaking of which:

Sounds like a right ball ache just to do a track day.
