I have just bought a Pipe and Slippers Volvo V70 D5 auto for £800 including delivery on a transporter !
It has just towed my Austin Seven from Cornwall to Prescott to take part in the VSCC hillclimb both cars performed well with the Austin just fractions slower than my best time on the hill.
I managed a 61.96 The VSCC use the short course because they have used it since the hill was first used, so not comparable with the long course.
It means I can sneak out and buy another Mx5 engine to play with without my wife finding out
I will have to sort out the thermostat housing on the RS as leak is getting worse.

Love a V70. My dad had the t5 back in the day. It was hilariously quick for a family wagon.

This will link to my weekend fun. I appear fairly early on in the film. I am car number 6 this is the first timed run. I put more air in the front tyres for the second run 26 psi to 32 psi, it made a massive improvement to the steering and my time for the second run. If you can stand to watch there are some stunning cars being driven in anger. I hope you enjoy it.

Excellent time Dickie, I've only driven the long course in September as August Prescott tends to be too full of Hooray Henrys for my liking. Sadly not this year as Dad's still not ready to leave the county
