Hi Folks
I have finally got around to installing a variable brake balance valve on the Rs Mongrel. I have installed it in place of the OEM valve utilising one of the OEM banjos and a second one very kindly donated by Zed. This allows the valve to be installed vertically beside the master cylinder. It also fits beside the Pipercross filter on my ITBs. I had to bend the Davefab brace a little and bend the brake pipes a little, I also countersank the fixing hole on the valve and used an A4-70 csk cap screw. ( Thanks Work )
The valve kit I used came from Bofi Racing.
Thanks again to Zed for the second Banjo and Copper Washers.

How do you find it? Been thinking about getting one of these for ages, how much difference does it make?

Hi, I have not driven the car since I installed it. Mx5s have a lot of front bias in standard trim, I intend to get a bit more rear bias. I have put it under the bonnet because I would not have a chance to fiddle in competition. My install was a lazy one with no messing with the pipes apart from a small amount of bending. You might find it benificial to cockpit mount for road rallys or fit a cable to twiddle it with. Car is on Sorn at the moment as I don't need it for commuting. Time to save up for a 2.5" exhaust system to go with the Simpson Racing Manifold.
