Got something potentially cooking but it's for a mk2.
So will a complete mk2 system fit under a mk1? Manifold to back backbox?
Is the only difference the hangers on the backbox? Or is there something more drastic?
I've got the rear subframe brace that seems a nightmare to clear most systems....might need to be removed if the exhaust is 3".

Don’t know, but that should spin up nicely with a 3” bore. Just watch the rods!

Maybe too much of a risk if there's no guarantee it'll go on without anything serious being required. Edit: Right, the hangers in the mid-pipe and back-box are in different places. Having no welding skills or access to someone who does, maybe I should stick to the original plan. Going to price up my options.

Hi I currently have a complete Mk 2.5 system under my 1994 Eunos Rs. The cat is is a different place so the heat shield under the tunnel is in the wrong place ( I have the manifold wrapped from the head down past the cat which is double wrapped ) I have added a hanger in front of the rear subframe. I have modified the back box hangers to make them work. The system is a bit of a Mongrel as its the OEM manifold onto and Ebay cat and first section. The backbox was the only new part this is a straight through offering from sportex. My car has the Factory braces fitted the system is a snug fit. It is also quiet enough to pass motorsport sound checks and not annoy the neighbours at 6 am. I will be replacing this set up with a complete 2 1/2" system in due course. I already have the Simpson Racing Manifold !

Excellent thanks Dickie, that's fantastic information and pictures. Look forward to seeing how you get on with that manifold.
