Ooooo, it worked. So this is my third NC. This is my second NC1 2.0 Sport and it’s a right cracker. Bought from my great chum who has owned it for four years. Like it’s previous owner he has cherished it and now it’s mine …. MINE I TELL YOU! From new it’s been well equipped with Mazdaspeed parts, hardtop and it’s a good spec NC1, Bose sound system with the six disc cd stacker and A/C. Lately it’s had lightweight wheels, great Nankang tyres, MeisterR suspension, custom interior and the 190Bhp package. I picked it it from County Durham yesterday. But before I drove it home I had two amazing blasts up and across the B6277 Pennines roads …. Bloody hell! What a road and it was bone dry and the sun shone brightly. So here are a few pictures of my new toy.    I’ve been ultra lucky here but there are still,cracking NCs out there to be had. Regards. Rich. |

I was really missing my old NC1.
The PRHT one never did it for me.
Then my chum told me he was buying a very special Porsche and he ALMOST gave me this one!
It was impossible for me to say no.
So now it’s …… hmmmm. BBR Supercharger time?

Oh, yes. That is just so dear to my heart and is covered in special parts.
I’m not sure I can bear to part with it and they sell for so little money as well.
I really should sell it I know. Need to think on this one.

mk3 / NC's can seriously benefit from a few tweeks and a slight diet, theres plenty of engine-tunubg options including 2.3 & 2.5L (Cosworth NA 'crate' engines of ~300hp??) so a good track option, also getting cheap to buyso anothe good point  hame they're 5 stud wheels though  blue NB? That is just so dear to my heart and is covered in special parts. I’m not sure I can bear to part with it and they sell for so little money as well. I really should sell it I know. Need to think on this one. if you sell it you may never find another if the urge arises  and all of those personal touches will be lost so you'd have to start fresh  and, if they're cheap now prices will have risen in the near future as mk2's are getting rare - especially compared to mk1's  Rich. |

I didn't like the NC when it came out, but it has definitely grown on me over time.
And this one looks particularly good. Black on red suits all generations I think.

Looks a super tidy example, has all the mods I wish I'd done to mine anyway. That 190bhp package, does that share any parts with the 200+ kit? Could be a cost effective bump further down the road. I wish mine had looked as clean as that, look forward to seeing how you get on with it.
It's only a matter of time until folk wake up on these, once mk1/mk2 prices are out of reach of cheap motoring.

Hi Zed. I know your right but I’m getting stuffed up with cars and I think the NB will have to go. See here ….. it’s sitting above the NC!  Look at me uploading pictures …. Like a ‘pro’. They are great value for money right now no doubt. When you go shopping with £5K what really is out there that stacks up against this? Wannabe. ….. Don’t be silly . Of course it’s already rust proofed. The previous owners where super careful types. It’s had a very thorough rust proofing from a company that just does rust proofing to cars. Nice buy, I've just had to sell my Mk3 but honestly they make a lot more sense than a Mk1 or 2 as a track car, especially when you look at the values changing so much.
