The O/H came home today totally incensed and fuming... as the A/C doesn't work. It never has on this (our third MX5 Mk1)... Tried to get it regassed once but of course being the age it is all the gas specs and more importantly the connections for gassing have changed...
We-ell... years ago I installed a complete after market air-con kit on another car we had... not difficult but fiddly.
I would imagine a suitable condenser would be needed and a replacement evaporator... and likely a service kit for the old Denso compressor or maybe a replacement...
Has anyone made such an upgrade or repair... Always good to learn from someone else.

The aircon never worked on my Mk1 Eunos, so I took it all out (there was no gas left). If you want any of the bits, you can have them.

.... If you do still have the removed parts and want to be rid of them...that would be greatly appreciated. How much?
Are we allowed to swap contact details on the forum... quite often not permitted.
