I know i've got another thread realted to this (https://mighty5s.com/thread/4063/goodwin-racing-wildwood-calipers-kogeki?page=1&scrollTo=55127) but that is quite a specific fit question.
I want some advice on my options.
I currently have a freaky parts kit that uses std 1.8 calipers and Corrado G60 (280mm) discs on the front. In the car's previous guise I was getting through pads WAY too quickly. Like a set per track day.
In the car's new form it shoudl be lighter.
I have sports brakes on the rear.
I have decided I should go for a beefier brake setup and have three options:
Supermiata 11" (~280mm)
949racing.com/product/supermiata-boxmount-11-front-big-brake-kit-90-05/
Dynalite calipers
has provision for the cooling ducts
Supermiata 11.75"
949racing.com/product/supermiata-boxmount-11-75-front-big-brake-kit-90-05-mx5/
Superlite calipers
has provision for the cooling ducts
Goodwin racing 11.75"
www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Performance-Part/61-2060.html
Dynapro calipers
As far as I can read up the pad size is: Dynalite < Dynapro < Superlite (where the dynalite is not much bigger than stock 1.8 brakes according to supermiata)
I am also quite keen to use the supermiata cooling.
I have downloaded the teplates for each, and the only one that doesn't fit is the supermiata 11.75. It would need something like a 25mm spacer which seems silly.
The other option is to sell my brand new FM wheel and r88rs and buy some other wheels. But i think i might get into trouble for that.
If i rule out the supermiata 11.75, would I be better going for the goodwin kit, or the supermiata 11" kit (that brings better cooling).
Cost isn't really the issue here - i just want brakes that will stand up to some track abuse.
What does the hive mind say?
