Has anyone used one of the eBay intercooler kits? I am thinking of using one as I need most of my piping to be alloy, silicone hoses collapse with a single throttle body pre supercharger.

Has anyone used one of the eBay intercooler kits? iirc, they are a generic 'kit' advertised for everything not considered a wet chargecooler / Laminova? Rich.

Mulling over lots, water injection, water cooled intercooler etc, or, what I had previously, just a straight pipe from supercharger to inlet. If I do the latter then I need a coolant bypass for clearance at the front, and I didn’t really want to do that again. Could I use the aircon rad as part of a water cooled intercooler??? Just taken it off.
The no intercooler option did not cause any problems with overheating or knock, in normal driving one is not often on boost.

If not too large power goals a nice ebay intercooler will do fine. You kind of get what you pay for and the large name brands are often very good.
That said, if you have a space where you want it, measure and put what you want to pay for in it.
I run a smallish ebay intercooler over the rad on my 380hp e85 turbo nb. Sure, I get rising intake temps going 0-250 km/h, but they go down pretty quickly and never reaches any critical level, works fine on track. Could probably gain a few hp with a nice intercooler, but I have enough as is.
Ie. Most things will work unless chasing the optimum.
