2008 Volkswagen Scirocco GT DSG 2.0TSI - Perfect Daily for your '5
Disclaimer: I am selling this on behalf of a friend who doesn’t have the time to advertise the car. I am currently in possession of the vehicle, which is parked in a secure, gated car park at my residence. The owner will be available for any viewings and for the payment / transfer of the car & V5 etc.
‘08 Scirocco GT presented in excellent condition inside and outside. The Rising Blue paint really accentuates the curves and big ol’ booty of this wonderful machine. It has been meticulously looked after by the 2 former keepers, and the current, a VW enthusiast. The first registered keeper being a VW Dealership. The car hasn’t gone very far from home either, being purchased brand new in Twickenham, and currently residing in Teddington! Reason for sale is the current owner has purchased a bigger daily and no longer needs the Scirocco.
The car has done 125,000miles - Despite this, the condition of the car does not reflect this at all. I’ve been given permission to drive the car and keep things moving etc, and it’s genuinely one of the nicest cars I’ve driven. There are ZERO knocks, bangs or rattles from the suspension. The engine pulls strong, and the DSG Gearbox shifts perfectly. It recently completed a long road trip to France and back about a month ago, flawlessly.
The interior has no faults with minimal wear and tear. Black leather seats front and rear, with hardly any signs of fatigue, even the front seat bolsters are still in excellent condition.
The exterior of the car is also in very good condition - There are a few small stone chips on the bonnet, and small scuffs at the bottom of the front bumper. Brand new OEM VW headlights have been fitted recently, so they’re crystal clear. Age related marks here and there, but overall the paintwork is very healthy. Most importantly there is NO rust whatsoever on the bodywork. Underneath the car is also very clean. Pictures speak a thousand words.
Tyres are matching Goodyear’s all round, worn evenly with about 6mm tread on all 4 tyres.
The car has been TASTEFULLY modified - I’d call it OEM+ more than anything. No crackle and pop maps here, or any maps at all. The ECU’s are untouched (both engine and DSG). The exterior of the car is standard-ish, as is the interior. I’ve listed all the mods below to make things easy.
On the subject of the engine and DSG Box, both underwent a major service in 2020 by VW Specialist VDS Performance in Redhill Surrey, including:
-New Timing Chain, tensioner, guide rails.
-New balance shaft chain, tensioner, guide rails
-New oil pump chain and tensioner
-New oil pick up pipe
-DSG Service, including new DSG Oil and Filter
The car underwent more preventative maintenance in 2022 by VDS again for the following:
-Replace Rear Main oil seal
-Both outer CV Boots
-Replace gearbox mount bushes
Invoice for the above work is present. These are usually lifetime items, so the new owner won’t have to worry about this in the future. Current owner made the sensible decision to have this refresh done for peace of mind, as he used this as his daily driver. The car has only done approx 10,500 miles since all of the above work, this is effectively a brand new engine and gearbox! There are further email invoices for the usual oil & oil filter changes etc, which the current owner can provide.

This is truly a headache free, get in and drive, ready to go daily driver.
