The water bottle and bubble wrap made a small difference but the rattle is still there. I'll have another look tomorrow. Check the alignment of the hinges (2 screws underneath). Might be some adjustment there that can help...

Fit a supercharger (badly) and spin it fast(er than you ever should), thereby eliminating the 'problem' of being able to hear anything ever whilst the engine is running.

Glovebox removed! It must weigh half a kilo with the steel support bar, lock, hinges and all the screws. Plus no crap inside it. So I must have lost 1kg in total. Faster and quieter for zero cost Now I'm thinking about ditching that stereo. Slippery slope.

Aha, now ditching the stereo gives you a very handy cubby hole, which will give you somewhere to store the scissors/hairdryer/etc now you've lost your glove box.

I'm doing it... But replacing it with an amp.

Sounds like a plan!
If I fit my amp it will be as low as possible. So my locations would be behind or under a seat, or in the boot floor recess most likely.
Also I have no water bottle / cup holder. I have not seen one which looks ideal either. So I thought I could chuck it in my newly made storage bin.

Got my first canoeing parking ticket ever today. Argh. Had to be in sodding Kensington as well. £55!!! Only saw that it was a red route, only noticed the residents only sign when I got back to the car. Srsly, who puts a sign below waist height? Not really got a leg to stand on, that's the view from my parking spot
