I've got P5 Puredrive coilovers fitted to my car and there is a slight knock that sounds like it's coming from the topmounts. It's not catastrophic but is a bit annoying. As the previous owner fitted them in not even sure what the top mounts are like (I'm thinking they're standard style ones?) and I've not had time to whip them off as yet. I did try nipping the locknuts on the shock shaft but that's made no difference.
Just wondering if anyone else has had similar or at least knows what the topmounts are like. Cheers

Cheers for that I'll whip one off tomorrow and see what's what. I'm pretty sure they are standard type top mounts.

Well I whipped them off today, gasket was present on both sides. Top mounts were new, must have been replaced when the coilovers were fitted a few thousand miles ago. I put a smidge of rubber grease on the bushes themselves for good measure and wanged them back on.
Noise is still there, I'm just going to live with it, it's not intrusive (only really happens at slow speed on rippely surfaces) and I'm happy that there is nothing amiss. I think it might just be the shocks over coming the initial 'sticktion' (excuse the MTB terminology) when they start to move.
