Anyone got any advice for mounting of a V shaped crotch strap I.e. 5th mounting point on a harness?
Car has Sabelt 4 point harness on Sparco seats (bolted mounts not runners) but want to fit the 5th mount as found the harness rode up (or I sunk under) during track time and was re tightening shoulder straps to compensate.
Any advice or pictures much appreciated, not purchased yet but doing homework first.

I have one bit of very valuable advice. When drilling the hole for the mount and you think "ooooh this bit must be double skinned" and push a bit harder. Don't. 10 litres of Vpower all over the interior and ground is the outcome of that one.

That sounds like good advice though for mounting a crotch strap surely if I hit the petrol tank I've gone a bit wrong ;-)
Would you just mount to the floor with some spreader plates?

Fuel line, not fuel tank. Managed to drill the return line dead centre and had a fountain of unleaded spring up in the car. Oh how skuzzle laughed. You want to buy the spreader plate, they're a couple of quid, drill a hole in the lot and then pop the eyelet in with the spreader plate under the car.

You'd preferably put the plates on the sides of the frame rail. For angles, google "scrotch installation instructions". I think I have some pics of my install in my build thread on nutz. same username.

Good call that, many thanks.
Just had panic thinking the seat didn't have the cutout for the 5th/6th point but it does (cobra Monaco sports).
Ta much
