Right, it's finally time to admit that you shouldn't have to top up your power steering fluid every week, and that the small black patch under every spot you park in isn't actually coincidence.
Where's the common leaks on the PAS system on a NA? Is it most likely to be the cooler pipe?

Cooler is the most likely suspect. It rusts through where it passes through the brackets that hold it on. Get underneath and have a look and you should be able to spot where it's coming from. junkyarddog sorted me out an excellent used one for a fraction of the cost of new one.

Cheers Horney, I'll take a look tonight. Parents weren't too happy that I left them a small pool of fluid on their driveway.

Well, looks like I might be lucky! I jetwashed the engine down earlier to better identify where the leak was coming from.. and spotted this: Pain in the rear canoe to get to, but clipped back on so I'll keep an eye on it.
