So the Doctor MX5 kit ended up going onto a friends car as both mine were practically new. He recently had an auto to manual conversion at a reputable specialist and sadly they had just banged in a box and didn't bother with any of the small items like new boots or turret oil.
Anyway managed to bag some door card off another owner. Was only after the upper sections but the lower wood/card is in better nick than mine so going to retrim and fit them.
Had beeen apprehensive about the re trim so decided to do a small test piece.

Now the sick on plates have never appealed to me so off it came (eventually)
Does look good without the plate
Unfortunately I'm getting on (34) and a sucker for the OEM look.
Popped up to see Carl at CBS as I needed a headlight cover and arm rests for the re trim. Done a much needed oil change and fitted a proper bov instead of the plastic bosch recirc that was on it. He tackled a number of other fiddly jobs which he didn't need to but shows his care and attention to detail. Always have and always will continue to recommend him.
