I've ripped out the carbon canister, bridged the 2 loose pipes and took the bracket off, and the bay looks much better, but I can't live with an EML on!
I tried leaving the connection empty and the light came on after the 2nd drive, and now I've just tried taking the sensor only from the carbon can pipework and connecting it to the sensor and the light is still on.
Do I need to bridge/block the pipes on the sensor? or do I just need to clear the codes now the sensor has been reattached?
