Right. I Canoeing hate my power steering. I want to punch it so hard.
The seal on the driver's side has gone, and every time I turn, I get a nice fountain of fluid dripping out of rubber boot. Is this new rack time?

How about just removing it? Depowering the powered rack properly means it is perfectly 'normal' to drive with IMO - little bit heavy when cornering round tight corners at slower speeds, and a bit of a bitch to parallel park with if you have a small steering wheel, but I much prefer the 'feel' of it. Even the missus likes driving with it and says it is fine when driving around! (Dammit, she was supposed to hate it and not want to drive it anymore lol)

I need to get an alignment done anyway, so I'm going to take a drive down to those lovely chaps at AK to get it replaced.
Removing it was definitely tempting, but the rack is leaking so that won't actually fix anything I think?

If you de-power it properly then it has no fluid in it but I would just fit a good used rack and keep the PAS.
