So took (ripped) out the broken soft top tonight as picked up a lovely condition hard top for a bargain. Unfortunately the roof doesn't sit down as the side clamps foul the roll bar. Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do? Could remove the side clamps from the roof but unsure how secure this will be?

I've had mine secured by front latches and rear frankestein bolts only for the same reason and it sat very solid. Shouldn't be a problem to remove the side latches.

If you're not running a soft top, look at some hardtop brackets instead (there's some Heads performance ones). Much thinner than the clamps and hold it on a lot tighter too IMO.

Moro thanks for that, good to know it's OK without side clamps. I've realised the photo makes it look like they are next to each other but there's quite an overlap and the roof is stood up 10mm or so proud at the moment.

Thanks for that, I've seen the Jass ones before on other builds. Our aim is to run roof off whoever possible and the hard top was just in case it rains on a track day. The existing softop was damaged and we're on a weight reduction plan so hardtop weight is only when mother nature requires it. Cheers

Another thing is, if you get some play in the rear latches, you could adjust them for a tighter fit. There's a small screw on a side of each latch, when it's removed the latch top will slide open and reveal an adjustment bolt.
