Anyone used it? Does it work?
Based off a mobile app linked to your paypal with QR codes on the petrol pumps.
I know you can sometimes pay at the pump with your card, but this seems one step further.
Anything to avoid queing in the shop and having to say "number 2 please"

Maybe I'm just scared of it but to me I feel it would be quicker to go to the cash desk than fumble around with my phone. I've seen it advertise a lot and I do get the majority of my fuel from shell but I'm not sure?
Id be interested to hear other people's thoughts on it.

With the way that many petrol stations are going (becoming supermarkets but without the parking facilities) I would say that anything where you can pay at the pump would be a good thing. Why put people who are paying for solely forpetrol in the same queue as people buying milk?...

Last time i filled up there was a bit of a queue as someone was getting coffee from a costa machine that was playing up. Guy came in and just left money on the counter and walked out, guess he was in a hurry

So I take it that shell garages don't have those signs anymore telling you to not use your phone on the forecourt anymore then?
I've not used the system but it sounds like a good idea, does that mean you can essentially use the app as a fuel card and pay it at the end of the month or does it just debit it straight from your linked bank account?

They do have the signs saying not to use your phone on the forecourt, iirc, it says to use the fill up and go app before you get out of the car (the QR code is roughly level with where a car's front windows would be).

Think it just debits straight away, my local garage has it, I'll have to experiment.
