I have a UK car with power steering. My current wheel feels a bit large. I wanted to put a Nardi on there with the bare metal spokes. But I need to decide on a size. Is there a generally accepted optimum size?
What about the options of deep v normal spokes?
Also what is the best boss to use? Are the snap off ones good?
Thanks!

There's one wheel that is perfect for the MX5 but it's not cheap. Momo Prototipo. It's the best size, has a decent rim width, lovely Italian leather and it looks the part. You want to combine it with a slightly bigger Momo boss as the standard MX5 Momo boss is a bit shallow so the wheel is a bit far away and obscures the top of the dials. It's all very subjective i think. I have a penchant for small wheels such as my recently-retired OMP Trecento 300mm and it's replacement, a LeonardVolanti stupidly-girthy 310mm.
I quite liked my old Nardi DeepCorn 330mm wheel which was wonderful, other than being a tad too large, and a tad too thin for my liking.
As for bosses and positioning, again its what suites you. I run an OEM wheel boss, plus a D1 Spec snap-off adapter, an 11mm spacer ring, then the wheel itself, as i like the wheel quite close to me

That Momo looks good. I'll take heed of your advice on which feels and works the best. However based purely on photographs, I liked this originally... 3 by s_worksair, on Flickr Ermegerd, lovely!

^ That 330 looks smaller than mine from the photo. I'll have to measure it when I get in.
