I moved to Harefield in Middlesex last year, with my other half Katie. There's not a lot around. Lots of greenery, lakes, a very quiet little high street. But we do have one of the best pubs I've been to with amazing views. The Old Orchard is a great place for a pit stop! We are only walking distance away, across a field... I used to live in ruislip. same area. my nan lives down the road from you in uxbridge. i would come up there one day but i would not dare to leave my car around those ends. mind you harefield is a lovely place. if your into dirt jumps on bmx etc there is one of the best trails in the world in harefield.
come down our way its not too far. you just gotta get used to a bit of a trek. we are all scattered all over the shop.

I was in Cafe Rouge for dinner in Ruislip today. Katie works in that town too. I never go to Uxbridge! If I have to go into London I travel from Ruislip too.
Also I reguarly travel to Maldon in Essex too, in case anyone is around there?
I am happy to travel now I have my car. So coming down south is a good excuse to get on a proper run. The 50mph limit on the M3 is a pain though! When I got back up to 80 with the top and Windows down it was ACE!!

I took my missus out for a spin today. She is not a big fan of acceleration or cornering, or generally going fast. So it might be better if I come down on my own and have a proper blat! I just need to make sure she has something to keep her amused while I'm away...

Yeah, I'm working on her borrowing it to change her tune. She seems a bit intimidated by it now Ps, funnily enough I'm sitting at a table at The Old Orchard now. Wondering where to have a hoon next. I also cannot wait for next week - another whole week off! My little girl Lili will see my car for the first time. She will be soooooo excited as she loves these fives. She sat in one at a car show a couple of months ago. I also have a daft personal plate on it with her name on, starting L111. In the legal font it is a dead ringer for her name. Photos will follow

That's good to know. Being area organiser for the West London area of the OC it's always difficult to find a decent pub with a decent car park - and that location/views are fab.

The views are incredible. Just be aware that at the weekends and even mid week at lunch times in the summer it is mad busy! To the extent it is hard to park and you can wait an hour for food. So it is best to go mid week just outside of lunch time. Alternatively any day or time is fine in the spring or autumn.
They often do special events too, such as live bands, outside BBQs, plus top notch home made food.

I was made in Hayes middlesex, later in life I moved to Bracknell. Bracknell not great but anywhere better than Hayes really.
