My waving policy now is wave or flick the lights to other MK1s, but only wave to Mk2, 3 & 4s if they wave first (hardly ever).

Normally I have about a 70% success rate with Mk1s.

In fairness, I've also been caught out when someone has waved and I haven't had time to respond before they zoom past. To them I must just look like another grumpy Canoeer like you described Kinki.

The guy I saw in a mk1 just kind of scowled at me from a junction. Then got right up my exhaust pipes and sat there like mr angry. I wasn't going fast as I was about to turn off into another road.
