Nothing bantery. General question. Are the mk2 and mk1 hardtops slightly different? I know they all fit but i swear the rear windows look a different size. Might be tripping.

Who else here likes to cook? I'm currently simmering away a lush Madras curry in the pan.

I started to do a lot of cooking as Mrs Y is vegetarian and doesn't like to cook meat for the rest of us.
What's your easy-and-never-fails recommended dish?
I do a version of Frango Assado that just needs a big pack of skin-on chicken thighs and some spuds.
Roughly chop the potatoes just small enough to fill the bottom of the grill tray and fit the wire rack on top. Coat the chicken with a mix of olive oil, smoked paprika and chopped garlic. Dot the spuds with any mix left over. Put the chicken on the rack, add a cup of water to the spuds and stick it in a hot oven, 250°C, for 50 minutes.
The potatoes are to die for. Or at least to kill for. Traditionally served with salad, I'm told, but I just steam some veg like carrot sticks, mangetout or sugar snap peas.

My never fails dish is a Madras Level heat curry.
Marinade chopped boneless chicken thighs in Madras paste overnight first.
Heat up a big pot on the stove.
Dice 1 large onion, crush 6 garlic cloves and grate a teaspoons worth of ginger. Throw this in the now heated pot with a couple tablespoons of vegetable oil. Saute that for 5 mins or so.
Throw in the previously marinated chicken and brown that off.
Make up 250ml of vegetable stock and add it to the pan.
2 large tomatoes go into your food processor with optional extra x chilli with seeds if you like it hot hot hot. Blitz and add to the pan.
Throw in a few curry leaves.
Bring to the boil, then simmer on a low heat for 1-2hours.
I often do this with Potato and butternut squash too. If you're veggie you can do that just with more veg obviously.
Absolutely divine. Did a big pot last week when a few mates came round and they devoured it all. Fat Canoeers.

Don't know yet, we are still discussing some of the finer details. But they reckon if everything's signed off before christmas we'll be in before winter.
