i use a little bottle of redex every other month. keeps power up. I've been looking at this BG44K stuff: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005GDC46E/Seems to have got decent comments on the other forum but I just worry it will remove deposits that are sealing gaps, meaning the whole engine will then fall apart

Cool, will do, thanks! ps That was also copied into LTJ Bukem's lyrics on Logical Progression back in the 90s. The soundtrack to my late teen driving days. Still as good today I <3 Bukem - legend I still love so many old school tunes like this. They got me hooked on electronica which has evolved into what I listen to now. Some new, some old, all good

Tried and tested too proof is in the pudding.. i copied all of this test on video below and ended up with slightly over stock power when we were at mighty5s skuzzles rolling road day. Mine is 18 years old! I used redex as instructed, changed oil and filter, got some jackson racing leads and bosch plugs off ebay for dirt cheap, plugs and leads much cheaper than the video implies, ebay is your friend... I think i lose more powwer through my cone airfilter, even with a heat shield! So i reckon with stock intake and a 30 quid k and n panel filter this is a great gain in power altogther!! And the engine is healthier, naturally! These are the cheap power gains!!

I just changed the turret oil and popped in a brass collar and a new lower gaiter (no way you'll get the old one off in one piece!) - wow what a difference that makes! Ok it's not cheap but for the difference I think it was good value.
About £45 total and you could get that down by not using a brand new bottle of gear oil for 90 odd ml of the stuff!
Time will tell if the brass lasts as well but feels good so far.
Another great mod is rain X (or equivalent). Windscreen is never so clear in rain! Water just flies off.

Can attest to their brilliance. Getting the old ones out are a ballache, use a small screwdriver to push in one tab and lift that side through, then do for the other side. At £5 a pop, made a big difference!

Led dash lights are cheap. I've already done my dash, and alsodid the odometer and the heater controls too - definately worth the effort... I'm looking for the bulb for the fog light switch - anyone have a part number?

Ive just bought the doctormx5 gear boot (cheap) and also the Jazz upper boot (not cheap at all) but havent fitted them yet.
My face cheap mod is without a doubt the central locking kit from rightclick - the first mod that I fitted to my car after buying, and hated the 3 weeks i didnt have it!
