More changes ... spot the difference! Russell do you still bang your elbow is that an nc consul? nice wheel Rich. Custom centre console, it's not that high .. lower than the standard one, it just looks high because the centre section is so low! The wheel is the cheaper of the 2 items I changed ... Russell

Few more bits done ... front lip spoiler fitted, this will end up on the green car but as I'll be driving the yellow one for a while I thought I'd put it on Then as I've been selling and clearing bits for a while, I've got to a point where I can move around in the garage a bit ... So got stuck into the green car. Main job is to get the front end in Then a quick trip out to help my friend Phil with his car...twins!! Russell

Suspension change ... I got this suspension a while back, Ohlins PCV shocks tuned by K-one + who are a Japanese circuit racing specialist ... they will end up on my green car but I can't resist trying them out Also changed the door cards and fitted some door pulls I made a few years back Then New door graphics fitted ... Need to spend some time getting the ride height sorted but it already handles a lot better Russell

Slight change of plans means no OC rally for me ... so to cheer myself up I've put a deposit down on some bits! Tubular front subframes... Which will be needed because of this ... Well at least I won't get bored over the winter!! Russell

Is that the 3.0 Honda engine a chap on the other forum was selling? Should make things interesting... lol Yep, Honda J30a engine. Spoken to my fabricator today and he can make a gearbox adaptor plate up pretty easily ... there's a lot of work ahead though! Russell

Been working on clearing some space in the garage ... one of the easiest ways to do this is to fit some of the parts that were stacked carefully on the floor! First thing to go on was the front subframe and some temporary wheels ... huge thanks to James B for the full set of subframes, wishbobes and hubs etc. It's a full Mk2 setup in almost as new condition apart from a bit of dust! [/url
Then I chucked on the rest of the body panels, which also reminded me what it's meant to look like!
Rear subframe swap next ... get the rusty stuff off and the shiny stuff on! Russell

Stunning day out at Goodwood, good to meet up with so many people! Started out at 5am, scraping the ice off the 5, and then trying to start it without making too much noise! The car was perfect, buzzed down the road without any fuss ... bit of a relief as I've only just changed the suspension & exhaust and I haven't tested it! Wandered around for a bit in the sun with some MX5 friendss ... then a nice drive back across the Cotswolds. Probably the last big day out for the year, so good to make it a memorable one! Russell

Lovely drive out to the last Shelsley Walsh breakfast club of the year. Great fun testing how this car handles the wet. Really pleased about my tyre choice earlier this year as they were so predictable compared to the T1r that we're on before An observation as well ... Most of the younger people were in modern euro boxes, and were stood around grumbling about the weather. Most of the older people were in the interesting cars, and were grinning their heads off. Coolest couple of the meet were in their 90s and arrived, top down, in a Morgan. He had his flat cap, she had a headscarf. "You stay mostly dry as long as you keep your speed up". She was driving "because he hesitates too much at the junctions" Can't wait to get old!! Russell

Time to move on ... the car is pretty sorted now and I've spotted another one I'd like, so it's up for sale. Could be anything from £1000 to £2000 depending on the spec, I've put up an ad so have a look & talk to me if you're interested
