I'm not on the FDMC one, I am doing Kemble on the same day.
Think Ricky is doing Kemble also as it is part of the championship he has entered.

I cant do this just because its a day after action day and funds are commited to that. Am i right in thinking you can just turn up to autosolos and race on the day?

I mean even if your not with that particular club.? You have to be in th club running it or one of the ones they invite in the regs. You can normally join on the day though.

An email to the organising club will usually get your club invited though, unless they are full anyway.

AFAIK you need to be a paid-up club member (or invited clubs) to participate - otherwise you and the organisers aren't covered for 3rd party liability. There are some events where Autosolo virgins can passenger but you'll need to check with the organiser. In this case it will be Matt Downes, Competitions Scty of FDMC. See yous there... Cheers, Pewe.

Horney, I see you're on the entry list for this one...
Is there any chance I could either take a passenger ride in yours or you take a passenger ride in mine for a little tuition and tips? I know tracktime is the best way to get better, but a few pointers would be appreciated...

I don't think FDMC allow passenger rides on their events. Happy to have a chat though and we can walk the courses together. I should point out I haven't done a Solo in a few years and I'm kinda average at them.

Can you watch if so and I'm not at work I may come along see how you all do. My main worry on doing this is not knowing where to go next, I just think I'd get lost going round lol

The last solo I did I did exactly that, and my first 5 runs were all failed test for wrong route!
It was my own fault for not paying more attention during the walk around.
I'll take you up on the chat about it all though H, I imagine your average in the wet is still quicker than my flat out times!

Dont worry too much - i think it gets easier the more you do - i did 12 runs at the weekend only managed 7 correct tests. My advice (which i need to listen too myself) is make sure your first run is correct even if you hold back a little bit - its a confidence builder, and dont worry if you go wrong - always try and finish as its good practice. And you do have to concentrate on the walk around but for me being able to watch other people do the test helps alot. (great advantage if you Marshall just before you drive!) & Dont always go flat out -(that advice was for me!!)
