I am looking into getting my diff welded, i wouldnt mind in a normal car, but does welding your once open diff rewin the handling the 5 is well kown for
I want to go to drift days but want to know if i can still go on track days without to much hassle from a welded diff ?
As the torsen is noe getting rare and expensive and a kazz 1.5 and 2 way lsds are 700 odd plus ?

Welded diffs are not the best. DO you use the car not he road as a daily?
Also, what's the spec of your car? Engine, power, gearbox etc.

To weld the diff properly you'll need to drop it, dismantle, weld, reassemble and reinstall. Unless you're doing it all yourself, for the cost of paying someone to do it for you, you might as well buy a Torsen.

For keeping costs low I'd look at picking up a VLSD from a 1.6 and using that, you'l need to swap the shafts and prop as well though.
4.3 Torsens are pretty hard to come buy at a reasonable price sadly.

If you're happy to rebuild the diff yourself, I have all the parts to make your own Torsen or welder. I only have a 4.1 CWP but you could get a Kia Sportage one (4.7) and build it up. Where are you?

I have a working Super Fuji you can have for £150 as well. It's a 3.6 though, so again you'd want To swap the CWP from your current open diff into it.

I'd be tempted by the 3.6 if you go for the Fuji Ollie...
