paint time. also fitted the pinion bearing outer races, pressed in on the, erm, press now awaiting delivery of the gears other busness, rain stops play. Rich. When even the tin of Hammerite in the Zed shed has a coating of rust it's pleasing to see the latest trend of shiny bits beginning to appear! where I live is wetter than an otters pocket Rich.

Rich.

so, had an email re. the cwp, will not be 'in stock' untill the 14th so guessing a few days to process & send to me.... another addition to the mix is an upgrade / larger bore tb's so the new jenvey 45mm tb's have been posted - 7 days after purchase, not bad considering that I bought them from a wellknown company's website (with good reputation!) showing stock & immediate dispatch will be selling the 42mm jenvey tb's with their respective cf trumpets, had considered fitting them on my white '90 Eunos but will try to keep that standard. so not much to report otherwise... Rich.

Rich. ouch, I guess they have a rough timescale but I bet a lot of places are having issues deliveries at the moment. My ecu and some other bits didn't turn up today so I share your frustration, it was loaded onto the van at 1am this morning so no idea whats happened. I mistakenly selected Parcelforce at checkout so thats probably why, of course their tracking system is down and nobody works past lunch time on a Saturday there lol. Should be able to recoup a few quid there I bet, do the 45s change your intake plenum setup/clearances?

Should be able to recoup a few quid there I bet, do the 45s change your intake plenum setup/clearances? waiting on delivery is hell, hoping to have things delivered to coincide with a rare weekend off work and nothing appearing is annoing I've bought a load of items lately (for a few vehicles ) and theres issues with most and their expected delivery timescale, evry seem to be terrible and yodel are fu ckin awful (thankyou ebay....) as to the different size throttlebodies, the 42mm bore are 90mm long (filter to manifold) and the 45mm bore tb's are 118mm long - the 28mm diference in length combined with the larger bore suit the Vauxhall engines tune better and as to the plenum I've some ideas there..... anyway, anyone wants a pair of Jenvey 42mm tb's (Part # THP42i. rrp ~£580 ) with cf velocity stacks and a 'Rover' tps then I'll accept £350..... NEXT. I've bought a Longacre Gagelites Water Pressure Warning Light Kit. www.longacreracing.com/products.aspx?itemid=1734&prodid=7416 been thinking about adding on into the mix for a while and they're a great warning for coolant issues as the sensor illuminates a lamp if coolant pressure is less than ~3psi so can save an engine rebuild and found a sensible priced set of steel conrods for the Vauxhall engine as the standard items are over 30 years old so hopefully an upgrade in safety and lighter, also hopefully raise the revlimit slightly Rich.

minor update. tried the airbox closer to the tb's, actually 3" closer and sorta touching them (well, sorta rested / by hand not bolted) from above.. clears the Ohlins damper adjuster knob now clearance is clearance? and around the M/cylinders & reservoirs... looks better for the bonnet? well, if the inner-frame gets a little trim.... or maybe a 'power-bulge'? so, the trumpets / velocity-stacks... now protrude past the baseplate. hummmmmmmmm.... M/cylinder clearance, thinking this is going to work..... except. I've got new tb's in the post and they are 28mm longer (what did I say about the damper-adjuster?) anyway, more to follow.... Rich.

I have a 'BHR' manifold (same as the ones sold by SBD Vauxhall tuning), even test-assembled further back in this thread... mighty5s.com/post/54691/threadnot quite the same space or clearance with horizontal tb's, potentially the straight / port angle tract is more efficient also I think the angled setup looks better so that should be worth +10hp anyway, had a delivery Rich.

so... whats in the box? goodies! Jenvey TBP45I (45mm) throttlebodies. probably the cleanes they'll ever be? test-fit of the fuel-rail sections. the different injector lengths catered for with the fuel-rail kit, interestingly the longer fitment positions the rail past the front of the body & can dictate the airfilter baseplte used every action has an equil and opposite reaction etc. Rich.

So some headscratching/planning to come I imagine, no guessing who the "wellknown company's website (with good reputation!)" was then .

more... the 'short' and 'long' (90mm vs. 118mm long) Jenvy tb's, the butterfly is further from the engine on the longer tb's... the 45mm tb's fitted to the manifold, I'll sort the fuel rail when I've bought injectors (pointless running used injectors as I've spent too much already) the busness end, I have a set of 100mm long cf trumpets to fit but will look into mounting the airbox baseplate first... more to follow. Rich.
