Someone tried it on a road in Mexico.
Allegedly it does 0-200kph in 14.6-8 seconds, with half throttle first and second gear in order to get some grip making the 0-100kph about 6 seconds. I guess thats about 2 seconds too much.
To put that in pespective, that is a 996 GT3 time. if it would have had grip in first and second and cut 2 seconds off that, its a SL65 AMG or Lambo Murcielago time.
Scary thing.

...aaand I'm getting used to the power. Spending some time tuning cruise and closed loop boost (again). Polishing the flex etc. Might get to go on track soon, will report.

Fixed a water leak from the front block off plate (reroute). The drain plug on the rad broke, now epoxied in place since I lack an ac/dc tig welder. Switching oil to mobil 1 0w-40 fs. I hope that it will keep hot pressure fine, otherwise I'll have to change to something thicker. I remade the ait wiring an changed to a new bosch 2-wire connector. I added 1cm of height all around. The car was too low for my garage entrance, even without the splitter. Hopefully it will be all good on saturday, planning to get some track time on sunday

Ran it on track today. It is fast. Will get videos up another day It was faster than a m2, a cayman gt4 and everything else on track today. That was fun.

Finally got a short video together. It's basically a show of force, reeling in a caged and fully track prepped Tailgate McNoIndicate m2 sadly, the flag posts was a bit...sleepy, not flagging for the standing cars, then som fast-isch laps with my pb on the track. There is at least a couple of seconds left in the car. This track day, being run in October in Sweden, was cold. It was between 5 and 12 degrees C during the day. track temp was about 10 C. I ran on DMACK's that I got a couple of years ago, heavily worn. I did not have the wing or splitter on the car since I wanted to try the chassis as is the first time I drove the car fast. A legends race car lost an oil plug on the first stint and put a line of oil down the whole track. You can see it on the ground in the video. it made some corners a bit slippery through the day. It was my first time on this particular track, but it was quite easy to learn. I did overtake some even more exclusive cars, but without running the camera Oh well, here it is I had so much fun. the last years work in the garage finally felt worth it. Can't wait to try it on a warm track, with good tyres and the aero bits on. Looking forward to next season for sure Here is part of the log from the day, you can tell it was slippery here and there blue line is speed and pink is lateral g's.

I realized that I didn't write about one of the more important things with having had the car on track.
The engine is awesome and I have no problem keeping up with 99% of everything you see on track.
The suspension, thats what I didnt mention. As you see in the video its slippery. If you have ben following my build you know that I'm running meister gt1's with 18kg/mm and 9kg/mm springs front and rear respectively.
These ratios where chosen due to the aero the car normally runs, but I'm happy to report that the suspension worked great even without aero on the car. As you can see I compensate quite wildly here and there. I had too. The car is slightly understeered as is, but thats very easy to compensate for with the throttle, making it quite easy to drive. Most of the compensating actually is fighting oversteer. I don't think that these ratios would work well on a stock power car without aero, but for me its great.
If the seam welding and superpro bushings actually made a difference? I guess, but I've changed so much in one go that I cannot tell. The car is not flimsy though.
Hmm, that sums it up.

What's that phone software stuff that tells you what's going on?

Looks like a lot of fun! For your traction issues in 1st / 2nd - are you doing per gear based boost control in MS? I'm planning on limiting the boost in 1st/2nd, and also have front and rear VSS driven from the ABS sensors so I can play with traction control for when it's wet on the road

Cat >> the phone based laptimer is racechrono for android. Back when I was an iphone user I used harrys laptimer, they do the same things. I use an external 10hz gps connected to the phone to get more precision. Jon >> as a consequence of me running flex fuel and using cross over tables for boost, ve, ign and afr target I really have no possibility to run gear based boost. I do run tps-based though, but its not easy remembering to go 80% when the horns are out on track Thats something I had to sacrifice, boost by gear is awesome otherwise. I may go for traction control later, but I dont have abs, so I need to change hubs for convenient vss. Traction control with the ms also seems to work better with ignition than boost, so no short cuts there. If going for power levels at or above mine, I'd advice limiting boost a bit in third as well I'll just go for wg pressure if very wet.

Programmable Outputs - pick a spare output, Gear = 1 OR 2, output to a relay which electrically disconnects the boost solenoid? Not as elegant as doing it in software but may work? Unfortunately we don't get the option of E85 here so I'm unlikely to run into that problem!

That could work well. Wg pressure is 245whp, plenty for 1&2 😁
But using less throttle requires no crimping and soldering. I really do think that I'll get used to it and will get boost by tps to a setting that feels natural. For now I have 100% boost at >90tps. I should probably change that to >98 or so.

Winter is coming.
Så the toyster has antifreeze in its system and is tucked away. If I have time to do anything further with it during the winter, I suppose that it will be something for the underside.
Can't wait until spring.

Haven't done a lot with the car. I did however get a son, so that takes a lot of my free time. One of the things that has been boiling for a while is getting my home garage to a standard where it is a nice place to work on the car. It has a low roof, so a lift isn't in its future, but I usually make do with a jack anyway. A quickjack is tempting though. It started out with these old barn doors. They let rain in and they weren't safe against burglary at all. They got replaced by a couple of motorized doors that actually seals the place. I considered converting to large single port, but that would have added considerable cost and lowered the entry even more. I added 400V and another, separate line of 230V to the garage. An electrician did the first bits due to regulations. It is prepared for me to add more sockets of each type eventually. Then there was the lighting. Old kitchen armatures seemed to be working for the last owner. They kept things in the dark. This is with them on and extra lights. Nope, had to go The new ones I put up are a lot better. They are also ip65. Plan is to paint, new insulated windows, get shelving, benches, welding table. Well, you know. It will take time though, the little one keeps me busy. As for the car, I got a wilwood brake cylinder for it, hopefully that gets me even better braking. Until next time
