Hi all!
With the latest crash on the Nutz forum my whole build thread went and disappeared. That made me sad.
Since I do not trust Nutz not to do it again, I've decided to take my progress with the car here.
The progress will be constantly updated, but since I work too much and have other obligations from time to time, it usually comes in small bursts
The base car is a US spec 2000 model nb, it also used to be a LS (not the v8, just mazda us model designation) model, meaning it had beige interior, beige leather seats, a full BOSE sound system, 5-speed and a torsen.
There are some beige bits left. nothing else of the standard equipment remains.
There also used to be a great many pictures of the progress and design of the car. Some of them remains and I might be able to find some if you ask politely and have a problem to solve. But for now, the recent stuff happening with the car is all I have the patience to put up here. Ive bought some, made some, mounted all.
The spec list is as follows:
Chassis:
2000 miata. Seam welded front and door openings.
Meister-R GT1 custom valved with 18kg/mm springs front and 9kg/mm springs rear.
Superpro bushings all around.
Flyin miata ARB's.
Crap engineering front subframe.
Jass stainless framerails
Competition cars roll bar (FIA).
Engine:
bp4w overbored 0.5mm with 9:1 JE pistons and manley rods.
ACL bearings for everything.
ARP mains, rods, headstuds.
Fully balanced engine.
Volvo head springs in refurbed head.
Bell engineering cast manifold.
Garrett GTX2863R with custom welded and ported exhaust housing to accept ewg and v-band.
Stage 8 locking hardware and inconel studs between manifold and turbo.
TIAL MVS external wastegate.
Custom 3" downpipe with ewg pipe connecting downstream.
Thermal barrier coating on hot parts.
Skunk2 throttle body.
AWR engine mounts duro 80.

Injector dynamics 1050x
Completely rebuild fuel system for e85.
Continental flex sensor
DW300 fuelpump
DW1000 fuel regulator

Coil on plug with pencil coils.
Boundary engineering stage 2 oil pump
custom 3" exhaust with 200cell metallic cat and one apple racing rear silencer.
Added oil temp, oil pressure and wired it into ecu.
Stack EGT
PLX sm-afr WB.
Transmission:
6-speed gearbox.
flyin miata happy meal with 5kg flywheel.
3.636 fuji super differental.
IL differential mounts.
Cheap gearknob.
Brakes:
Freaky parts 280mm wilwood kit with carbotech xp10 front. 276mm sport discs with carbotech xp10 rear.
Wilwood adjustable reduction valve.
Interior:
2x sparco sprintV on some kind of seat mounts.
2x Schroth clubman 6-point harnesses with fia mountings.
Snap off quick steering wheel connect.
RRS 250mm suede steering wheel.
OEM mats without insulation.
Aero:
Front airdam and plywood splitter on custom aluminium frame.
APR gtc-200 rear wing with extra risers.
Cut vents in bonnet.
more coming if i get time.
Wheels:
A bunch, all 15's, at least 8" wide. My narrowest tyre is 205, my widest 245.
Exterior: yes. most things painted black.
