Great writeup. So it's like a compact Cobra? I can recommend Bedford, I did a day with an instructor there and ended up on the green stuff quite a few times with no adverse consequences.

I'd say it's a busy mix of many things going on. The major over riding thing in my mind is it has the heart of an American muscle car inside a tiny sports car. It sounds more like a V8 than my previous actual V8 cars. Neither of us can work out why it sounds quite so damn menacing. Yet it does. No online video could possibly convey this, unless you happen to have a large subwoofer hooked up to your surfing computer. I've heard a recording of my own engine via decent headphones and even that sounds pathetic compared to the real thing. I will have to pop along to a five meet sometime so you can hear for yourselves.
Bedford sounds good, cheers lowender.

Great write up wannabe, now, about your cylinder head gasket..... It's reasonably dry and going to be over 10 degrees for the next couple of days, and I am unemployed so have plenty of spare time - I am going to try to get it done!
Yeah get it done mate. I'm going to take a couple of days off from driving myself to recover haha. I will get some work done and dabble with my hood scoop in between. Reconnect with nature, walks, feeding some ducks and chill time. Then I'll look forward to the next overdose of burbling & screaming warp drive lunacy

Thanks Zoona. Yeah it's good fun. It gets some positive attention when out and about.
Mind you I was saying to Wannabe... a standard power five certainly has some benefits and charms as well. Namely that you can have a lot of fun fully wringing them out without a care in the world. Certainly less tiring!

One of the most fun cars I have had as you can drive the nuts off it, but still only be going 40mph... and you can fit the entire world in the back of it. I miss that car a lot! You have inspired me to get back out to my car - I actually spent an hour or two out there in the freezing cold. So well done! Anyway, looking forward to seeing more of this car. This thread needs more pictures, and some videos.

I redid the curve so it was more subtle. Then re-glassed the joints and entire back half for strength.
First rought cut ended up ok. Importantly the front and rear sit right. The slight gap in the middle section can be closed up with filler later on.
Sits a lot lower and more in keeping than the first attempt.
You can see I went with Atlex's suggestion in the end. The muscle car power bulge suits the soundtrack anyway! Plus no rain ingress and better downforce more than likely (well no lift at any rate, due to the downward slope). Any under bonnet heat and pressure can then escape right out the back, as various production cars used back in the day.
Next up, around work... I will make some strong mounting brackets from aluminium right angle section. After the mechincal stage will be the cosmetics (filling & sanding).

Many Thanks to the owner Sam and extremely skilled tech & fabricator Matt at Hybrid Tune for installing, modifying, making many of the components (exhaust system for one!) which got me on the road. Plus the electrical and rolling road tuning work they are known for. Many obstacles were overcome and the end result is amazing fun. Thanks guys, top work Also thanks to G19 for recommending this mini team who have been behind a lot of G19 work over the years. My handover:

I stole some time out of the day to make some alloy brackets. Although I'll have to work late tonight to make up for it.
If it's still dry tomorrow I will aim to get the bonnet drilled, bracket angles bent, then test fit it. I'll be going for track car cosmetics: two visible hex heads on show down each side of the bulge. The brackets will be inside, so hidden. These will match the rear duck tail arrangement. I'm not going to rely on adhesive or more GRP work as I hate the stink working with it!

Just had a quick look back over the thread as so much time passed by. I noticed some of the photos Wannabe kindly uploaded have died somewhere on the internet. So here are a few missing ones again. Forgive the random out of order flashbacks....
Old pics - some stuff may have changed during the V6 instal...
Back when I stripped the interior out and insulated it
Clock was ditched later and replaced with three AEM guages...
GCF cage & door bars
Cobra Cub leather seats, Nakamae centre
