You'll need a proper alignment when you've raised it, best check if your camber bolts are seized up. Yeah, it was thinking about getting a proper alignment done that made me think about ride height. Don't know if the PO had it aligned properly after the coilovers were fitted and set, but hopefully!

Rich. www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1140341 - someone started to work on it but then sold it (was that you?) that advert has nothing to do with us (wrong side of the country......) from the photo's I can see a lot of parts that are not origonal, the engine as fitted was a ford sidevalve unit & matching gearbox (with the MG gearchange remote fitted!), the chassis had some repairs... as i say - the front apron & numberplate is in my garage, I'll see if I can find some photo's.... from the advert, I'm guessing the 'old' logbook will have our old address as it was 'found' (or doug out of a collapsed garage) in about 1989 so that tallies iirc, a dealer bought it so who knows its history? we guessed it was stripped for parts & it sorta looks possible, maybe the only remaining common items are the logbook(s) & chassis-plates Rich.

I'll have a dig in the garage later, probably find I've posted about a diferent numberplate Rich.

Hi Boggissimo,
Your Family MG looks familar. I suspect I have competed against it at MGCC Wiscombe a few times.

Hi Boggissimo, Your Family MG looks familar. I suspect I have competed against it at MGCC Wiscombe a few times. Yep, my Dad (Brian Galbraith) lives in Cornwall so he competes at Wiscombe quite often. I've only done the hill once myself, in the VSCC meeting in 2018 (and did the 500 OA event the previous day in my Subaru (video here). What MG is yours?

OK, I have another question: is there any way to check/monitor engine parameters on a Mk1? I'm used to cars with an OBDII port that can send data to my phone. Does it even have a 'check engine' light? Or is the ECU stuff more primitive than that?
