We used the same Citroen suspension at RR in the 70βs, lovely ride, I am using one of the filters from the suspension system reservoir on my ISCV intake π

hey - for some reason your thread dropped off my follow list. Good to see Ronin is back out again. And Cano you for buying a DS. I absolutely love them. When we go to france, i seem to find and moon over them the entire time. A DS or a Peugeot 505 would scratch my big french car itch. Hey fella. How's the land of cookoo clocks and chocolate? Buying the DS was a long held ambition. Other than the Miura I consider it the most beautiful car ever made and the engineering is fascinating. I was very fortunate to get this one previous owner example, although I've barely used it since I bought it. It's going in to a specialist in March for an electrical overhaul and to have the roof removed, bonded down and resealed (It leaks because the sealant has perished), ready for the car meet/dhow season.

Cuckoo clocks come from the black forest in Germany (a common misconception) and the chocolate is actually prarrie canoe. All milk and too sweet...
Oh wow. Those Canoeing seats! Is that interior all original?
A road trip through Europe is what that car needs.

Donβt the headlamps swivel with the steering?

Donβt the headlamps swivel with the steering? Yep. Self levelling too. So far ahead of it's time!

Think they were re-upholstered at some point using the original cover pattern but non-standard cloth. So comfy. It's like cruising around on your granny's sofa. As soon as it's up to full health a road trip will be planned!

Slowly but surely Ronin is coming back to life. New tyres got fitted, re-insured, and I've just installed new gauge faces from Revlimiter (same Warbird Ronin custom pattern as the old ones that got damaged when I had a leakage issue), and a new washer pump.
Just got to work out why wipers aren't working (probably the stalk cluster is prairie canoe again) and it will be time for him to go and fail the MoT!

So, just before taking Ronin to get MoT'd I discovered the offside sill was totally shot near thd rear arch (Bound to happen eventually). So I cancelled the insurance I'd just taken out and he's sat forlornly on my drive all through lockdown, gradually looking more and more tatty. βΉ
I've now booked him in at the end of the month to have the inner and outer sill and arch repaired. I'll then renew the brakes and get him back on the road.
I'm raising some cash by selling my knackered Range Rover, so that will cover the repair with enough left to cover some repairs to my Alfa that are also required.π

No Canoeing about now. Just bought a 100 ltr, 3hp, 14 cfm compressor (Hyundai) to sand down body and respray. π
Well overdue purchase given the number of cars I have to work on.

Thanks for the offer mate. It's a bit of a mess though so decided to let the pro's round the corner sort the cutting and welding.
I'll screw up the prepping/painting as my contribution π€£
Hope all is well with you? Any plans to come back sometime, or settling in for a long haul?

I did it the other way round. Tackled the welding myself, and got a pro to paint...
Painting is horrible. I have no patience for that prarrie canoe.
