I was married at Brooklands a few years ago, it's a great venue. One thing I wish I'd done is grab a load of the guide leaflets from the museum and stick one with each invitation so guests know what's there. The ones that did venture out for a look round were suitably surprised and enjoyed it all. Good luck getting the car ready! Oh and if they offer you a few cars to ferry round guests do check what the deal is. We were told £500 for a couple of replica vintage cars based on Escorts or whatever and something like a Cortina convertible. Not the pre-war cars I'd been hoping for (and they wouldn't let some friends of mine with old cars do it themselves...).
Good call on the leaflets! I shall pick some up 😁 I was kinda hoping they'd let us drive up the hill climb in the wedding car/mx5 but not sure how likely it will be! Might have to take a wrong turning on the way out or something 😉
Car is now in its resting place at Anne's uncle's for him to weld it up. He seems to know what he's doing already!
Shout, shout. Let it all out. MX5's is what we're all about.
wannabe: I've got some of those with the grooves cut into them, so they look like a giant black paracetamol tablet, lol - unfortunately I can't get the trolley jack underneath the car without them, nevermind with them...
