I'd take it easy on the trip to Le Mans - the french rozzers are apparently super-hot on speed-trapping and happily (and regularly) relieve us rosbifs of €€€, so cruising at the limit is the best bet!

That wiring guide looks very useful but, er, scary I thought we were just tapping into wires leading up to the instruments binnacle?? I still have no idea where I'm going to put it lol

I still have no idea where I'm going to put it lol Yeah, that's what we're doing. The table on page two tells you where to tap the cables into depending on what year your car is. The instructions are for a different brand shift lights though, so you obviously need to check the colours of the cables on the unit itself as I suppose they will be different than on the ecliptech unit

On a mk1 or 2 it looks very straight forward. A little more complicated on a mk3 onward.

I guess it's this bit we're interested in?

Awesome, thanks I was about to write that I'm worried they will be too bright at night but the adjustable brightness should sort any issues out! I also can't quite believe how small they are - 58w x 16h x 35 deep is tiny - I reckon I might just velcro mine to the top side of the steering column plastic, in front of the instruments, as it should mean they are visible however I'm sitting and in all outside light levels
