Lol, you are a bit precious... I took my 40,000 mile, immaculate paintwork merlot sideways on a gravel autotest round fenceposts and diggers and log piles the first month I had it. I also did a full day demo in 30 degree heat at silverstone with the standard cooling system and a supercharger, had to turn the blowers on but that was it, these cars are masochists, they love it.
The worst you will do is smear a cone down the side and wear some tyres out, but even then if you are careful you will significantly reduce the impact of both of those.
Just do it, you know you want to.

I am definitely a bit precious, haha! I have a constant internal struggle between enjoying my car to the max but also keeping it as mint as possible. In an ideal world I would have a garage queen and a track hack. One day. But yeah, I just need to man up. It's only some traffic cones for gods sake

September for me is "ram-packed" as Jeremy would say, but considering the Oxford MC one in October...

September for me is "ram-packed" as Jeremy would say, but considering the Oxford MC one in October... Come and join us - it'll be the best fun you've had in a car!! 2nd best... Though me and the missus wont be getting up to much in the 5, it's a bit snug for that!
I didn't get to the bank for the BACS payment for oxford today so I'l get on that tomorrow. I should have a new more coming on that one too, not in 5s but just people who want to have a go after ive been raving about it all week.
I thought it was easier on the car than I thought it was going to be, the car is designed for that kind of abuse so took it with ease. I did have to polish off some orange scuffs from the door when I got back but if I was better than wouldn't have happened.
See you at oxford, Meerkat!

Yup, i took all the wheels off & checked underneath - looked for anything loose or hanging off and all is well. Great little cars!!

Ah that'll be it, I forgot Scott was also driving, normally he just takes photos but he got a new motor and wanted to have a blast in it.

Reading all this makes me want to have a go now...
Maybe if I get my diff fixed in time I'll be able to squeeze a couple in. My car control is horrendous compared to some of you guys though! Do the events run all year round?
But also, how do you not get lost?!

I thought getting lost would be an issue, but it wasn't at all. You get to walk each course first giving you a good chance to work out where you might get caught out at speed, and then the cones are very clearly marked with secondary, directional cones which point towards the side you pass them on. It's really obvious once you see it for yourself, moreso that YT vids with ficed cameras suggest.
Id imagine one of the more seasoned regulars will be posting up an annual calendar for them for next year as they get released.
