Project - Bought my Dad an MX5

I'm not the biggest fan of the Mr Grumpy stuff... Apparently it's what my mum calls him.

So, I've been using this for a few days while I convert my car to manuel.

Full tank of fuel dad says, so I'm like woop!

Driving to my brothers wedding rehearsal, get to some lights where the road is 40mph. So I'm like, ooh lets see how loud this exhaust is again.
Set off high revs, loud noises! dugger dugger dugger. wtf?
drop the revs, goes away, then cuts out.

Wont start back up. I'm thinking engine is blown, fuel pump maybe?
RAC man arrives after an hour or 2. He's like ooh cool car. Imma get it running again. We test the fuel relay, we suck on the fuel line to check for fuel etc etc. Then we open up the fuel sender to test it.
I'm like, that doesn't look like half a tank of fuel in there. (like the needle says) there's a little, but not a lot.

I get my dad to bring me some fuel to test while me and the RAC man talk about his 924 turbo and whether I should go itb/turbo/charger.

WHAT THE HELL. Car starts. NO FUEL.
AM SADS.
Don't belieber your dad when he says there's fuel, and definitely don't believe him when he puts the fuel needle on incorrectly.

OH AND, on the way I had a noise coming from the front wheels. I stopped of and josho saved me. Like literally, none of the wheel nuts were tight. apparently they were all done up with a normal ratchet and not torqued.
Swear my dad is trying to kill me.
