Aww thanks. I have wanted these exact mirrors for years. I alway said if I got an MX5 these were essential. But I only found out what they were called the other week. So I ignored the insane price and pulled the trigger.
The wheels and these make the car. Even though it looks like an off roader right now.

I would say silver will be a great match for a dark car like yours. Tyres though will pose a problem. Street tyres in wide but small diameter sizes are almost non-existent, you'll have to look at track day tyres probably.

Street tyres in wide but small diameter sizes are almost non-existent, you'll have to look at track day tyres probably. Just done a bit of googling and lots of people in the US run 195/60/14 but they seem a bit hard to find over here in the UK, for decent tyres anyway. Most people just run 185/60/14, I have 185/65/14 at the minute so if I can't find anything I may go for those, the extra sidewall will compensate for some of the width, Mine are very balloon like now on the 5.5j wheels so I don't think there would be much, if any stretch at all with the 185's. Certainly will try find some 195 though. The 14" track tyres are so damn expensive and how I drive mine they wouldn't last me 5 minutes! Aww thanks. I have wanted these exact mirrors for years. I alway said if I got an MX5 these were essential. But I only found out what they were called the other week. So I ignored the insane price and pulled the trigger. The wheels and these make the car. What tyres have you gone for on the wheels? are yours the et19 versions? Mines lowered on billies/eibach springs so should look pretty sweet!

I went for sensible size Enkei so I could run decent tyres like Michelin PS3. I will use my car all year round, so it needs to perform in all weathers. I didn't want to be restricted by just budget or summer track tyres. My tyres are 195 15 50. Wheels were 15" et 30 or 35, I can't remember. They ok good to me.
When my adjustable dampers are on I will post pics. But it won't be slammed. I want it to go over bumps and handle our crap roads. So maybe halfway between OEM and the usual "stanced" look.

Today i r removed a lot of stuff from the car while trying to find why it wont start Currently found 1 of my coils has died so getting a replacement brought to me this evening Then hopefully that can solve why the car stops the pulses to the injector the moment it starts to fire There was something like this. If I remember correctly, 4 pin coils produce rpm signal to ECU and if this circuit goes canoe up in a coil, the car will crank, catch and then immediately die. Ufh...tried new coilpack and didnt solve it But there is a weird issue where when i turn the ignition to ON, there is a spark from all of the plugs. Then when cranking, injectors stop pulsing and cylinder 3 and 2 stops sparking Tried that out on a mate's 1.6 and when turning the ignition to ON, it didnt spark the plugs So currently thinking it is ecu

It certainly shouldn't spark the plugs when you just turn ignition on.
Maybe bad earth somewhere, this could give all sorts of weird effects? ECU is a good call too probably.

Hi Moro, I went for the 14x7 Et19 versions. In silver. To be honest i'd like them painting gunmetal but it would be rude to send some fresh wheel's straight for refurb? Gold was a no no and the black were more expensive. Just have to figure out what tyres to fit to them now. I was going for the 185/60/14 rainexpert 3's on my panasports but these are 1.5" wider so not sure what to do? I don't want any stretch at all I love the look of chunky tyres. They have cost me more than what I paid for the car, This is the point of no return Awesome choice of wheel, they were my dream wheel for my mk1. I ran 14x7 et 13 on that which looked great but did require and arch roll. I went with 195 60 14 Vredestein Sportrac 5s for an extra bit of width and chunkiness, the sidewall on these is almost as cool as the RPF1s themselves! NickD did me a good price on them. Pics of how mine looked to follow...

The mx5 has always been the smaller brother of the rx...look at the FC to NA then FD to NB and rx8 to the NC...plenty of similarity

Did about 80 miles of motorway driving last night.
Never thought I'd say I would be comfortable enough in my car (with the roof down at 11pm with my loud exhaust) to almost fall asleep.
