I remember this thread on Nutz, so if it's ok I'll start one here!
Today on mine, new HT leads and plugs - been borrowing some for a week. Mine were... dead.
On hers, power steering belt change. Dropped the effing ratchet 12mm spanner and it lodged itself right at the back of the undertray under the engine, spent longer looking for it than changing the belt!!

Took it to get new tyres, and then went to the MOT man, as I did it that way round it passed.

Fitted the seats back in after repairing them and dyeing them. And finished wax oiling the underside. Nearly ready for MOT

Those seats look amazing. Did you refurb them yourself?

Those seats look amazing. Did you refurb them yourself? Yes I did. Used a leather repair kit from eBay and "tan" leather dye from Mx5city. There not perfect, but a lot better than they were

Ah, the best thread I'll respam from nutz Pulled the spare wheel. De carbon canistered it. Cleaned out a *very full of juice* catch tank whose silicon lines had 'cooked' onto the cam cover outlet (it was like a tug of war to get off). Oiled some rusty bits. Painted some rusty bits. Fitted a battery cut-off. Amusingly the battery cut-off 'connector bolt' piece fits perfectly in the thing which would otherwise hold the spare wheel in place in the boot. *winning*. It looks like a tiny spare wheel now :-)

Looking good.
If you bang the studs out they will come out past the centre of the hub. They have a little cut out on the rear to help with this. It's obvious when you see it. Bash them out with an old wheel nit on the end to protect the thread.

What year is your car Toby? Later cars (where the stud splines are different front and back - around '94) have a flat on one side of the stud head, earlier cars have a full head and need a slightly firmer use of hammer to get out. Also you might need to trim a bit off the brake shield where it attaches to the hub. If the new studs don't have flats on one side of the head grind one on before inserting to reduce the risk of thread damage and generally make your life easier The bit that Nick is referring to is around the 7 o'clock point when looking at the car from the side.

It's a very late 97 mate, so should be okay, I'll check the brake sheild although may be removed as I've 11" disks on the back, thank you.

Should be fine in that case Just in case you're not aware the rear studs have a larger spline diameter to the fronts, 12.82mm on the front, 14.73mm on the back.
